1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember you and to keep your session secure while you work. Prysm Note sets only the cookies described below, and each one is strictly necessary for the service to work.
2. The Cookies We Use
| Cookie | Purpose | Lifetime | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| access_token | Keeps you signed in to the app (session authentication). | 15 minutes | Essential |
| refresh_token | Keeps your session continuous by refreshing the access token. | 7 days | Essential |
| csrf_token | Protects against cross-site request forgery on state-changing requests. | Session | Essential |
| oauth_state | Carries the state value through the Google and GitHub single sign-on flow. | Transient | Essential |
| calendar-state | Carries the state value through the Google Calendar connect flow. | Transient | Essential |
These cookies are required for authentication, security, and the Google single sign-on and Calendar connection flows. They are not used for advertising, marketing, or personalization.
3. No Advertising or Tracking
Prysm Note does not use advertising, marketing, or tracking cookies. We do not run analytics scripts, advertising pixels, or third-party trackers on our pages. Your browsing behavior is not used to build a profile about you.
4. Application Data in Your Browser
Most of what the app keeps on your device is stored in your browser's local storage, not in cookies. This includes your preferences, saved API keys, AI chat history, and task and note caches. This data stays on your device, is never sent to advertising partners, and can be cleared at any time through your browser settings or the app's own controls.
5. How to Control Cookies
You can view, block, or delete cookies from your browser settings. Because all of the cookies we use are strictly necessary, blocking them may prevent you from signing in or using parts of the service. You can also clear local storage data from your browser settings, which will sign you out and reset preferences, chat history, and caches stored on the device.
6. More Information
For details about how we handle personal data, see our Privacy Policy. For questions about cookies or your data, contact us at [email protected].
