Prysm Note for film and series watchlists
The watchlist problem is memory, not taste. A title mentioned in a group chat is gone by the weekend unless it is written down, and a series stopped halfway is impossible to resume without knowing the episode.
What matters here
- A status per title: to watch, watching, watched
- The recommender in the note
- Episode progress for series
- A shortlist for tonight
- Shared with whoever you watch with
Setting it up
Add the title, the year and a line about why it was recommended. That line is what lets you choose between two options you know nothing about.
Series progress
Record the season and episode when you stop. Coming back after a month is the moment a good series gets abandoned.
Choosing tonight
Keep a shortlist of five or fewer. A list of sixty is a database, and databases are for searching, not for deciding at nine in the evening.

- Prysm Note for remote workRemote work runs on written context. A short daily note, a visible task list and async updates replace most of what an office provides by accident.
- Planning in a notebook per weekOne notebook page per week is a calm, reliable system, as long as you accept that nothing in it can remind you or be searched.
- Using a kanban board for solo workKanban boards were designed for teams handing work between people. On your own, the columns can become a place tasks go to sit.
