Prysm Note for social media

Social media planning fails when it is reactive. A small backlog and one planning session a week turn posting from a daily decision into a batch of scheduled work.

What matters here

  • A backlog of ideas and hooks
  • A weekly planning task
  • Drafts stored outside the app
  • A checklist per format
  • A monthly look at what worked

The backlog

Ideas and hooks, not finished posts. Capture them when they occur, which is usually when you are doing something else.

Batching

Write three or four posts in one sitting, at a scheduled time. Context switching is the cost, and batching removes most of it.

The monthly look

Which posts started conversations rather than collecting likes. That is the signal for what to make more of, and it is rarely the same as the highest number.
