Prysm Note for course creation

Courses get stuck in production because the outline is vague. Deciding what a learner can do at the end, then working backwards to lessons and assets, keeps the build finite.

What matters here

  • Outcomes written first
  • A note per module and lesson
  • An asset checklist per lesson
  • A production pipeline with statuses
  • A review pass from a learner's view

Outcomes

Three to five things a learner can do at the end, written as actions. Everything that does not serve one of them is scope you can cut.

Lessons and assets

Each lesson has a note with the objective, the script outline and the assets it needs. The checklist is what prevents a module sitting at ninety percent for a month.

The learner pass

Go through the course as a beginner would, in order. The gaps that appear are almost always assumed knowledge, which is the most common flaw in expert-made courses.
